Levitra (vardenafil) relaxes muscles found in the walls of blood vessels and increases blood flow to particular areas of the body. Levitra is used to treat erectile dysfunction (impotence). Levitra may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
For most patients, the recommended starting dose of LEVITRA is 10 mg, taken orally, as needed, approximately 60 minutes before sexual activity. The dose may be increased to a maximum recommended dose of 20 mg or decreased to 5 mg based on efficacy and side effects.
Levitra is considered to be a preparation for potency with a very good tolerability and minimal side effects. Yet, at twice the dosage of 40 mg of the probability of occurrence of side effects may increase. Take the whole tablet of 40 mg is recommended only in severe cases of erectile dysfunction.
